Along Came the Devil is a DeVan Clan Production, Co Founded in 2013 by husband wife team, Jason and Heather DeVan. Jason and Heather met in Hollywood Ca. where they both moved to pursue entertainment careers in the late 90's. They have been married for 20 years and have 3 children together. DeVan Clan Productions is a family owned and operated production company based in Los Angeles, California and Atlanta, Georgia. DeVan CLan Productions thrives on making good quality films for all generations.
The goal of DeVan Clan Productions is to tap into an incredibly successful genre within the film industry with Tell Me Your Name and to capitalize on the existing fan base of coveted 18 – 34 year old movie goers who enjoy supernatural thriller/horror movies.
As a filmmaker, Jason has always wanted to do a movie in vein of The Exorcist and stay true to its roots. Tell Me Your Name is the the first of its kind, with a nightmarish ending that has never been seen before in an exorcism movie.
As co-Founder and co-CEO of DeVan Clan Productions. Jason earned a theatre degree from Penn State University while also participating on the Nittany Lions Football team. Jason moved to Los Angeles where he has been part of the entertainment industry for the past 17 years. Jason began his career as an actor in everything from national commercials to the acclaimed psychological horror video games, Dead Space 2 and 3. With Jason’s extensive career as an actor in the industry gives him an outstanding knowledge on how to work with actors on set as a director.
He most recently directed, produced and wrote the much anticipated psychological horror feature film Tell Me Your Name, starring, Jessica Barth (Ted 1 and 2), Sydney Sweeney (HBO's Sharp Objects) and Academy Award Nominee, Bruce Davison. Along Came the Devil is being compared to films like The Conjuring and The original Exorcist.
As the co founder and co CEO of DeVan Clan Productions Heather DeVan is a producer on Tell Me Your Name. She is a former international model turned professional actress. She started her career in Atlanta Ga. at the tender age of 15 when she began modeling internationally. At 21, she moved to Los Angeles and began acting. Heather was once known as the “commercial queen” in the acting world. She has been seen in over 100 national and international commercials. Heather has graced the covers of countless magazines and is has been the face of Curel body lotion as well as the original spokesperson in the United States for Nutella.
Along Came the Devil was shot in Atlanta Ga. where Heather was able to come home to produce her first feature film. She is in development on several other projects with her husband; director, writer, producer,Jason DeVan.
Dylan Matlock has been on the physical production side of over 50 film and television projects, including HBO's "The Wire", “Live Free or Die Hard”, and the found-footage horror hit, “The Den”. His extensive experience in scheduling film productions makes him a strong asset to the team.
He worked as an associate producer for the hit Comedy Central show "Review" and co-produced the feature films "Indiscretion" (starring Cary Elwes and Academy Award-winner Mira Sorvino) and "Ouija House" (starring Misha Barton). Recently, Dylan is a producer on the horror feature “Captured”, which is currently in post-production.
